How do we prepare the body? For what? Isn’t dancing already occurring? Rosalind Crisp brings 40 years of dancing research to these questions. She offers processes for attending to the materiality of our bodies – the flesh, weight, breath, edges and contents, and proposes a raft of compositional tools to respond to this materiality. Her method supports dance artists to sustain an independent, embodied inquiry.

A creative laboratory with Rosalind Crisp, facilitating dance artists to develop their own movement-making tools. Drawing on principles and practical tools from her own dance-making methodology, with ways to navigate between sensation, composition and imagination, Rosalind proposes frameworks to ‘do it yourself’, and strengthen solo practice.
